If you're a Texas-based school district, law enforcement agency, or emergency responder, there are several grant programs available to help fund your radio communication systems.

The state has prioritized interoperability and emergency preparedness — and that includes support for equipment like two-way radios, repeaters, and mobile units.

1. Statewide Emergency Radio Infrastructure (SERI) Grant Program

This program provides funding to enhance interoperable emergency radio communication systems across the state. Eligible projects include repeater and tower installations, system enhancements, and critical infrastructure upgrades.

2. Office of the Governor – Public Safety Office (PSO) Grants

Governor Abbott’s Public Safety Office administers multiple funding opportunities to support law enforcement, school safety initiatives, and emergency preparedness. These grants often include funding for communication equipment like radios and repeaters.

3. Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Program

Run through Texas State University, ALERRT supports active shooter training and related communication support tools for first responders, schools, and law enforcement agencies.
